Development cooperation
The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) administers most of Australia’s overseas aid program. The objective of the aid program is to assist developing countries to reduce poverty and achieve sustainable development, in line with Australia’s national interest.
Australian Defence Cooperation Program in Cambodia
Australia continues its long and enduring cooperation with the Cambodian Ministry of National Defence and the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces (RCAF) in a range of areas including the development of an effective Cambodian counter-terrorism capability, a defence strategic review, maritime security, and ongoing support for English language training. The Cambodia-Australia Defence relationship continues to strengthen as our two countries work together to mutual benefit on these and other issues.
