AVANTEC's story – there from the beginning

In 1995, the two ETH graduates Andreas Jacob and Lukas von Känel founded AVANTEC AG. At that time, the Internet in Switzerland was still in its infancy. Large companies had made their first major computer and server purchases and the Internet connection, which was still loud at the time, had reached the first private households. It was already clear to Jacob and von Känel at this time that this access to a globally connected network would require protection.

Over the years, the demand and the AVANTEC team grew larger, but the start-up spirit was never lost. Whenever new team members were brought on board, care was taken to ensure that they were just as ambitious, just as customer-focused and just as passionate about creating the best IT security for our customers. This has continued to this day.

Today, they are still full of energy every day when it comes to our customers' IT security. They don't just want to provide the best effort, we set our goals at the top and want to achieve the best solution for our customers. Passion combined with know-how and customer focus – that was the recipe for success in 1995 and still is today.
