The Bagri Foundation's Mission

Established in 1990, the Bagri Foundation operates as a family registered charity, embodying a collective spirit of curiosity and a commitment to continuous learning. The team, motivated by a shared desire for knowledge, is dedicated to realizing unique and unexpected ideas pertaining to Asia. A primary objective is the integration of traditional Asian culture with contemporary perspectives.

The foundation, through the provision of grants, extends support to artistic and educational projects. Employing a collaborative model, it forms partnerships with entities of various scales, ranging from large national and international organizations like the British Museum in London and The Metropolitan Museum of Art of New York, to smaller cultural and artistic organizations that align with its ethos and mission.

In addition to its collaborative efforts, the foundation curates a diverse program encompassing film, visual arts, music, literature, courses, and lectures. This initiative aims to provide artists and experts from Asia, the diaspora, or those influenced by the continent, with increased visibility on the global stage.

The Bagri Foundation, operating as an international, non-political, non-religious, non-sectarian, and independent charity, is based in the United Kingdom (Charity number: 1000219).
