The Banco Credicoop Cooperativo Limitado is, from its origin, a genuine cooperative organization.
It was created in 1979, by the merger of 44 Cooperative Credit Funds, some with more than 60 years of experience.
Credicoop is a non-profit institution that, based on the principle of solidarity of mutual aid, aims to provide financial services to all its Associates.
Credicoop is directed by its own Associates, who choose, under the principle of "an Associate, a Vow" , to the Board of Directors. In addition, each associate can participate in the institutional life of the bank through the Associate Commissions that operate in each subsidiary and that collaborate with the Board of Directors.
Today, with 268 subsidiaries and 24 service centers throughout the country, Credicoop is the first private bank with 100% national capital and the most important cooperative bank in Latin America.
Credicoop is associated in Argentina with the Mobilizing Institute for Cooperative Funds and ABAPPRA (Association of Public and Private Banks of the Argentine Republic). He is also a member of the ICA (International Cooperative Alliance) and the CIBP (International Confederation of Popular Banks).

The Credicoop Coop Limited Bank. It is a Cooperative Bank owned by its Associates, managed in a democratic way, heir and continuator of the valuable work deployed since the beginning of the 20th century by credit cooperatives. The Credicoop Bank Coop. Ltdo was born under the guidance of the Cooperative Fund Mobilizing Institute , which continues to guide our Entity institutionally.
Its main task is the provision of efficient and quality financial services to our Associates, giving particular importance to credit assistance to small and medium enterprises, cooperatives, social economy companies and individuals; located both in large urban centers and in the small towns of the country. The deposits collected are reverted primarily in financing in the same location.
It aspires to contribute to national economic progress and the construction of a solidary society with distributive equity to guarantee a decent life for all Argentines.
It conceives its contribution to these objectives through a growing participation in the national financial activity, by spreading the principles and values of cooperativism and actively participating both within the cooperative movement - national and international - and in the popular movements that share its aspirations to build a just and supportive society.
