Banco de la Producción, SA (Banpro) is a private company founded on November 11, 1991, with the purpose of intermediating public deposits to invest in a wide variety of businesses, to serve as an agent of economic development in the country.

Of the banks that are now part of the National Financial System, Banpro was the first to open its doors in Nicaragua when the conditions for the development of private investment resumed in the country. Opened with the contribution of 133 members of the most diverse productive activities in the country.

Over the years since its founding, Banpro has experienced sustained growth of its assets, deposits that are captured by the public and its assets, to become the largest bank in the nation, and in relation to banks Central America, due to its size, is among the 20 largest in terms of assets. To achieve this privileged position, Banpro has developed a growth strategy based on service with added value to customers.
