Banco Industrial emerged within the Chamber of Industry of Guatemala at the end of the 1960s, with the purpose of supporting the country's industrial sector. The initiative took place at the time of the ruler Enrique Peralta Azurdia, law decrees were the basis to form said bank. In this way, on June 17, 1968, it opened its doors and began to operate.
With the support of a hundred industrialists, the bank was founded with a capital of 25 million quetzales, which was raised through the contribution of 10% of the exemptions granted to industries in Guatemala.
It was then when Banco Industrial began its development and its history began to fill with achievements and all kinds of moments that have built their solid trajectory.
