The Bangladesh Bridge Authority under the Bridges Department is an autonomous body with a total manpower of 36. The Bridges Division under the Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges has been playing an important role in the country's transport sector since its inception in March 2006. According to the Rules of Business of the government, the implementation and maintenance of 1500 meters or more bridges, toll roads, flyovers, expressways, causeways, ring roads, etc. have been assigned. The office of Bangladesh Bridge Authority is located at Banani, Dhaka.
