About

For nearly 30 years, the BCI has placed the needs of New Caledonians and Caledonia at the heart of its strategy, with the constant concern to be a bank everyday at the service of all.

Faithful to its primary purpose of helping the development of the country, it accompanies both individuals and professionals in their most diverse projects, making it the first local credit institution.

By offering both the only network of agencies present throughout the country including the islands, and the most competitive banking rates, the BCI allows every Caledonian to access modern and innovative banking services at the best cost. Strongly involved in local life, BCI's almost 400 employees are proud of their commitment and the values that drive them. Thanks to them, the BCI embodies with serenity a vision for the future, together, to see further.

The Caledonian Investment Bank (acronym: BCI ), a public limited company of mixed economy, was born in 1988 from the split of a company combining a dual activity: construction and property management on the one hand, the granting of business investment loans and home loans to individuals. The BCI has retained the original "credit society" component, amplifying it by expanding its scope of intervention and the range of its services, which was allowed to become a full-service bank. .

BCI then became a universal retail bank that provides comprehensive financial services to its clientele of individuals, SMEs and large companies throughout the New Caledonian territory.

Indeed, the BCI quickly developed via a network of outlets gaming the whole of the New Caledonian archipelago. All these permanent and periodic points of sale, as well as the Change counter of the international airport, make it possible to assure to all the inhabitants of New Caledonia a multiform service of proximity, relayed by all the modern means of communication.

Its capital is held by two main shareholders, New Caledonia on the one hand, and BRED Banque Populaire on the other hand (capital gain in 2006); different shareholders, which give it both its peculiarity as a financial institution in the service of development and its full and complete characteristics as a commercial bank acting in a competitive environment.

Today, BCI is the leading bank in New Caledonia with over 32% market share.
