The Bay Area Global Health Alliance was formed to connect and mobilize the unique talent pool and diverse expertise associated with the Bay Area to maximize their region’s impact on global health. Their members are world-class academic institutions, innovative technology and biotech companies, and experienced nonprofits caring for the world’s most vulnerable populations.
They believe in the catalytic power of shared knowledge and collaboration across their sectors — and are dedicated to working together to leverage and strengthen the Bay Area as a hub for global health innovation.
It’s their region’s history. When the AIDS pandemic first emerged in the 1980s, Bay Area institutions and global health organizations led the response. From legislation on tobacco to protect public health, to cutting-edge initiatives on climate change, planetary health and digital health, to working together for global health security today, their region’s work continues.
