Under the umbrella of the Berlin-Brandenburg business association, the bbw Bildungswerk der Wirtschaft has grown into a high-performance group over the past 40 years.
The bbw Group
The bbw group is part of a close-knit network with associations and companies of all sectors, with chambers, ministries and senate administrations, with scientific institutions, social actors such as sports, the Bundeswehr or the church. They work within the network of educational institutions of the German economy, in this context they maintain the exchange of experience and can thus also fall back on a nationwide network of locations.
The bbw group consists of four companies. All bbw companies work non-profit.
They combine their educational mission towards the regional economy and increasingly with socio-political involvement in the education and employment market. They are among the market leaders in education and training in the region and have been setting standards and providing impetus for the competitiveness of the economy, training and employment for more than 40 years with innovative product development. They design their educational offers from the perspective of their customers.

The bbw group works according to uniform principles. They determine the actions of the company management and employees in all areas of the company.
The bbw group:
- works on behalf of the business associations and well-known companies of the Berlin-Brandenburg region;
- combines its educational mission towards the regional economy with socio-political involvement in the education and labor market;
- develops their offer concepts from the perspective of their customers, in close coordination with them and with regard to their benefits;
- enables lifelong learning through a wide range of customer advisory and educational services;
participates in the qualification and integration of refugees and migrants;
- is a signatory to the "Diversity Charter" and creates a learning and working environment that is free from discrimination and disadvantage;
- is one of the market leaders in vocational education and training in the region;
- With its innovative product development sets standards and impulses for the protection of skilled workers and the competitiveness of the economy;
- meets the requirements of digitization - within the management processes, in the teaching and learning process as well as the preparation of graduates for new, digitized work environments;
- is part of a close-knit and long-standing network of associations and companies of all industries, chambers, ministries and senate administrations, scientific institutions and social actors;
- works within the network of educational institutions of the German economy, maintains the exchange of experience in this context and can thus draw on a nationwide network of locations;
- implements commissioned projects of the European Union and makes use of extensive working contacts and joint facilities with employers' associations and their educational institutions in numerous Western and Eastern European countries;
