The River Basin Center has the task of carrying out water resources management in the river area which includes planning, construction, operation and maintenance in the context of conservation and utilization of water resources and controlling the destructive force of water on rivers, beaches, dams, lakes, ponds, reservoirs, and other water reservoirs, irrigation, swamps, ponds, ground water, and raw water and
management of urban main drainage.

Mission

To be able to realize the vision, the Central Bengawan Solo River Basin has the following mission:

- Conservation of natural resources in a sustainable manner;
- Utilizing natural resources fairly and meeting quality and quantity requirements for various community needs;
- Control the power of water damage;
- Empower and enhance the role of the community and the Government in the management of natural resources
- Increase the openness and availability of data and information in the management of natural resources.
