Benco Trading was founded in 1994. Originally established as a retailer in FMCG’s, Benco is now a well-established Sierra Leone based trading company comprising of several units, that specialize in the importation, storage and distribution of a wide variety of products from global suppliers.

Their products range from building materials and foodstuffs to chemicals and fuels.

Benco has been a pioneering force and market leader in the bulk importation of high quality cement and iron rods into Sierra Leone. Their frozen foods unit is also one of the first and strongest in the country. With warehouses and cold rooms strategically located near the main seaport, they have a logistical advantage when receiving bulk and containerized cargo. They are also the largest importers and distributors of LPG (this unit is being spun off to Afrigas (SL) Ltd).
