About

The Bertelsmann Foundation (North America), Inc., established in 2008, was created to promote and strengthen the transatlantic relationship. Through its research, debate forums and multimedia tools, the Foundation provides analysis and solutions to the most pressing economic, political and social challenges impacting the United States and Europe.

As the analog era gives way to the digital revolution, the Foundation must also adapt to a changing environment. By looking at the Euro-Atlantic partnership through a digital lens, the Foundation will explore how technology is shaping the globe, and will use innovative approaches to highlight developments in a rapidly evolving world.

Objectives:

-bring together U.S. and European officials for exclusive briefings on current and mutual foreign-, economic- and social-policy challenges
-maintain the first fellowship program for Congressional and European Parliament staffers to advance understanding of legislative priorities and processes on both sides of the Atlantic
-support exchanges between rising trans-Atlantic leaders and thinkers to explore the common challenges facing the U.S.-European partnership
-serve as a facilitator for transatlantic dialogue
