BETT (K) is an ISO certified Kenyan incorporated company with its Head offices and factory situated behind Mastermind Tobacco, on the Nairobi-Mombasa Road.

 BETT (K) is a subsidiary of Beijing Electric Power Transmission & Transformation Company (BETT) under North China Grid Company (NCGC), located in Beijing P.R China a national class enterprise specializing in the construction and installation of transmission lines, substation and cable project at various voltages, The company manufactures various types of microwave towers, metal structures, fittings and reinforced concrete poles. 

BETT KENYA being an affiliate of BETT CHINA, decided to invest in Kenya and implement the first regional Concrete Pole factory to manufacture concrete poles meant to surrogate the current wooden poles. A feasibility study was undertaken to ascertain and facilitate the investment to implement the plant in the tune of (USD 3.5million).The proposal was presented to the Chinese Government for sanction and was considered and approved in 2002.

Their formulated annual production is 35,000 – 40,000 poles of different sizes and various voltages with a projected daily production of 150 poles and 4,000 poles monthly.

Their Specifications and Standards have won us world wide recognition for a strong technical force as they adhere to the policy, “Quality First”.  The sizes are as articulated 9m, 10m, 11m, 12m, 13m, 14m and 15m Pre-stressed Concrete Poles for low voltage lines like 240V, 415V, 11kV, 33kV and 66kV respectively. Also the Reinforced Concrete Poles sizes are 18m, 24m for construction of 33kV, 66kV, 132kV and 220kV lines.
