BBMB has an installed capacity of 2918.73 MW - the third largest installed hydro power capacity in India.
BBMB also transmits Power in the Northern Grid through a widespread network of 3751.96 Ckt. Km. of 400, 220, 132 and 66 kV transmission lines.
BBMB maintains some of the largest water reservoirs in the country such as Bhakra and Pong Dam reservoirs and also operates 98 Km. long water conductor system including channels & tunnels.
Bhakra – Nangal & Beas Projects have been harbinger of green & white revolutions, rapid industrialization & urbanization in Northern Region, besides protecting the downstream areas from ferocious floods.
