Their mission
They stop people dying from blood cancer, they make patients’ lives better, and they look for ways to stop blood cancer happening in the first place.
They stop people dying from blood cancer
They won’t stop until every single person with blood cancer survives and no one dies from blood cancer again. 100% survival, nothing less.
They make people’s lives better
People with blood cancer should be able to live their lives to the full: free from the fear of relapse; free from side effects and free to do the things they love. They’ll work to improve quality of life until blood cancer no longer has an impact.
They look for ways to stop people getting blood cancer in the first place
If there are ways to prevent blood cancer, they’ll find them. They’ll uncover how blood cancer works, so they can stop it happening
Continuing their successful investment in high quality research to change the lives of people with all forms of blood cancer will remain their top priority. They will work with the blood cancer research community, people affected by blood cancer, and their partners working in blood cancer to identify the greatest opportunities to make a difference.
They will increase their reach and engagement with people affected by blood cancer through their improved website, their patient information, Blood Cancer Connect and their Ambassadors programme.
They will continue to build awareness of blood cancer, blood cancer research and Bloodwise, with people affected by blood cancer and with key decision makers.
They will continue fundraising for vital, lifesaving research and for all their work to improve the lives of those affected by blood cancer.
They will improve efficiency and effectiveness and continue to strengthen the organisation.
