They believe that if they all act now, by 2050, everyone who develops breast cancer will live. But to make it happen, they need your help.
More than 50,000 women and 350 men in the UK are diagnosed with breast cancer every year - and one woman every 45 minutes loses her life to the disease.
They can’t live with that.
They fund research that is entirely focused on breast cancer and their aim is that by 2050, everyone who develops breast cancer will live.
-They are researching
They are funding over £26 million worth of cutting-edge research, supporting nearly 400 of the brightest scientists make the discoveries they need to stop women dying from breast cancer. But they need to invest at least £300 million over the next 10 years to make this a reality.
-They are campaigning for change
Right now, too many life-saving, life-extending drugs simply aren’t getting to patients. They are working with politicians, the NHS and other decision makers to unlock new and off-patent drugs, so women with breast cancer can get the treatments they so desperately need.
-They are raising awareness
Through their public health campaigns, they are helping thousands of women become breast aware – and they are making sure they know what changes and risk factors to look out for. Because the earlier breast cancer is detected, the greater the chance of surviving it.
-They are working together
They are bringing together the brightest minds, the best fundraisers and the most determined campaigners, partners and Patient Advocates. They are working with people who’ve been touched by the disease, so that, together – they can stop it.
