The Bureau of Statistics and Census for Libya is the central office for research and collection of Libyan national statistics.

The Statistics and Census Authority is a newly established institution according to Cabinet Resolution No. (138) for the year 2012 AD. By providing and preparing the required quality of information and statistical data to formulate fact-based policies and coordinates the integration and harmony of statistics produced by other government agencies, and coordinates With its international and regional organizations with regard to statistical concepts and definitions.
