Ambition
In 2012, 52 years after its independence, Senegal is still at a crossroads, to develop its full potential, achieve its economic take-off, and be part of a path of sustainable economic and social development. For this, strategic breaks are necessary. This is what founds my ambition for Senegal to emerge.
The Emerging Senegal Plan (PSE) operationalizes this vision for "an emerging Senegal in 2035, with a united society, in a state of law" . The objective is to put the economy on a path of strong, inclusive, sustainable growth that creates jobs and while preserving the environment and natural resources.
The implementation of the PES will make it possible to:
- consolidate a political system centered around democratic rules, good governance and the rule of law;
- promote the cultural values of work, responsibility, citizenship and solidarity;
- guarantee security, balanced development of the territory, national cohesion, as well as work for peace and African integration.
The PES aims in particular, in the space of a decade, for a take-off which will result in both economic development and significant progress in human development.
