About

The Cambodian Mine Action Authority ( CMAA), established under Royal Decree 177 on September 6, 2000, is authorized to administer, monitor and coordinate the field of mine action in Cambodia.

The Mine Authority is under the direct supervision of the Prime Minister and the Vice-President, and the Secretary-General oversees day-to-day operations.

The Mine Authority is responsible for the strategic planning and action plan to achieve the priorities set out in the National Strategic Development Plan ( NSDP). The Mine Authority directs this sector to develop key policy and strategic frameworks such as the National Mine Action Strategy 2010-2019 and the Partnership Principles and Guidelines for the Management and Regulation of the sector, such as the Cambodian Mine Action Standard ( CMAS). Planning and guidelines are a priority.
