Canadian Environmental Exposures in Cancer (CE2C) Network
The Canadian Environmental Exposures in Cancer (CE2C) is a network of research centres across Canada devoted to the study of environmental exposures and cancer development.
To create a comprehensive, effective and responsive research network to benefit all Canadians by providing scientific evidence for the most effective exposure limits to environmental carcinogens, so as to limit adverse health effect and reduce the future burden of cancer & its associated costs.
CE2C will initially focus on the establishment of three nodes:
Genomic/epigenomic analyses of carcinogen exposure (Vancouver)
A facility for arsenic and radioactive isotope detection in tissues by mass spectrometry (Calgary)
High-content automated immunohistology core for cancer detection and characterization (Halifax)See more
