The Group
They manage the water service, ensuring public control of the partner bodies in compliance with the principles of transparency, accountability and participation.
History
Their first 90 years
90 years and still going strong: this is how they could summarise their history.
They were established to bring water to the homes of the Milanese: with this goal, on 27 February 1928 a group of municipalities formed the Consortium for Drinking Water (Consorzio per l’Acqua Potabile, CAP) of the municipalities of the Seveso basin.
Today the CAP Group is the first national mono-utility, and they can confidently claim that the mission has been successfully carried out.
Their scope has expanded: CAP Group, a public limited company owned by local authorities, is the main water service management company in the territory of the Metropolitan City of Milan and some municipalities in the provinces of Monza and Brianza, Pavia, Varese, Como.
They currently guarantee the integrated water service to over 2 million inhabitants, manage the assets of networks and systems, plan and implement investments and routine and extraordinary maintenance works.
Vision
The excellence of your water, the transparency of their work. This is their daily commitment.
The CAP Group has set itself the objective of redefining its values to better guide management's policies and strategies, thanks also to the active collaboration of all the staff who have contributed to defining their vision statement.
