El Casal is an association of volunteers, a collective project based on the generation of commitments and the involvement of citizens.

Citizens commitment and involvement allow them to respond to the social needs of children and youth in the neighborhoods where more exclusion situations are concentrated. The Association is currently composed of 21 committed people.

The Board of the House is made up of  Roser Rosell , President (Graduate in History of Art, Secondary School Teacher); Sergi Camacho , Vice President (Engineer, Director of Industrial Business); Loreto Cabot , Treasurer (Economist); Carme Baqué , Secretary (Pedagogue, secondary school teacher) and  Toni Casellas , Vocal (Computer technician). All the members have a broad associative path and a firm commitment to the Casal dels Infants. They will work on the day to day of the entity to  continue building  a solid citizen defense project for children, young people and families in the neighborhoods that concentrate more inequality.

All five add to the daily challenge of moving forward the entity, convinced and convinced that the sum of efforts is really transformative and capable of generating changes: They will strive to build concrete and transformative responses, accompanying social initiatives and raising the voice when necessary, sharing the commitment and obtaining the support of the maximum of institutions, companies and organizations and with a firm intention to approach the citizenship. 

Thus, they assume the objective of continuing to convince the citizens that social cohesion reaches all of them. And they will work to continue building a solid citizen defense project of the most vulnerable who, now more than ever, will give concrete answers to the new situations of vulnerability and forms of exclusion that the crisis causes to emerge. 

They concentrate efforts in neighborhoods with children and young people with more social needs to achieve concrete and lasting improvements in their growth and in their immediate environment, favoring social transformation through a shared project that includes: social action, the political impact and the sensitization, and the citizen mobilization and the voluntary work.

They are a social and citizen entity. They work in neighborhoods, along with children and young people with more difficulties, to have the maximum opportunities.

They do it from the absolute conviction that any child or young person in difficulty, however difficult it may be, can move forward if he receives the support he needs. If you feel safe, if you can count on people who help you to overcome obstacles from day to day, if you are responsible for your change process, if you are the protagonist.

At the Casal they side them together . They do this by means of education, reinforcement at school, support spaces, training ... so that children and young people can overcome their starting position and move on.

They advocate that poverty is not inherited and that is why they work in the neighborhoods that concentrate situations of exclusion. Because that is where they socially have to work harder.

The family, the school and the neighborhood, where a child is born and grows, is where opportunities are earned or lost. They must be guarantee the tools, education and accompaniment necessary to break this inheritance. To break the circle of poverty, where they are drowned.

El Casal is part of this guarantee of opportunities , but they do not do it alone. They do it with children, young people and families, with the entities and services of each neighborhood, with thousands of citizens involved, adding efforts from all over the world: public, private, citizens ...

At Casal, they are many people that they believe and they are involved in this challenge. Just aside, together, they  can build educational and social responses , which will make them a springboat that gives them an impulse to jump far above.
