CASE-DAFRIQUE was set up in 2006 to respond to the weak capacity of African countries in economics and statistics analyses and to address the poor economics management. In line with this concern two key approaches are in the heart of our interventions:
- The strengthening of African capacities in survey implementation (questionnaire design, data collection, data processing, data analysis, etc), in economics analysis and in the monitoring and evaluation of social and economic programs;
- The development of experiences and the dissemination of know-how across the continent;
Therefore, when CASE-DAFRIQUE has to work in the continent we systematically check for existing competencies in the country, then in the continent before enlarging to other experts when necessary.
Beside works for our customers, CASE-DAFRIQUE carries out its own researches and organizes training to improve exchange of knowledge and know-how in the continent.
Despite it is a young firm CASE-DAFRIQUE has already been involved in important works, especially in survey implementation. This includes: Impact Evaluation of the PNDRR program on ex-fighters in Burundi, Food Security Analyses using the CWIQ survey in Burundi and a technical study in telecommunication sector in the six CEMAC countries and Sao Tome et Principe. These activities are funded by major donors including the World Bank, World Food Program, European Union, Belgian Technical Cooperation, etc.
For the specific issue of knowledge dissemination in Africa, CASE-DAFRIQUE is developing a network of experts to link consultants to companies working in Africa. Our roster was set up in early 2008 and has registered number of experts from different African and European countries. From this roster we can easily contact experts for different job opportunities.
