About

Helping people since 1917, Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago is one of the largest private, non-profit social service agencies in the Midwest. Annually the organization assist 1 million people in Cook and Lake counties without regard to religious, ethnic, or economic background.

Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago operate 153 programs at 161 locations across Cook and Lake counties. We are headquartered in downtown Chicago, with additional regional office in the Southwest City of Chicago, Des Plaines, South Holland, Worth, Waukegan, and Cicero, that serve as hubs for our operations in the greater metropolitan area.

The organization's 3,000+ staff are well trained and dedicated to our mission. Catholic Charities also partners with more than 243 parishes in Cook and Lake counties to bring services into communities. We are also aided in our mission by more than 15,000 volunteers. We strive to be efficient: 92 of every dollar we raise goes directly to our programs.
