CAON's MISSIONS

Technical and operational structure placed under the direct authority of the National Authorizing Officer, in this case the Minister of the Economy, Planning and Territorial Development (MINEPAT), the CAON is responsible for:

• alignment with Cameroon's development policy (strategy);
• support (interface, facilitation, etc.) for actors in the EDF project cycle;
• monitoring (quality, ownership) in the identification, formulation, implementation and
• monitoring-evaluation of interventions within the framework of the partnership strategy with the EU;
• ensuring good visibility of the partnership to the satisfaction of donors and beneficiaries.

To this end, the CAON plays a triple role (i) of interface and project management for the National Authorizing Officer, (ii) of facilitator and advisory support, (iii) strategic and monitoring-evaluation.

GOALS:

Support to the National Authorizing Officer for a more dynamic and well-controlled project management, in accordance with the Cotonou Agreement.

Mobilize as much as possible for the benefit of Cameroon, the financial instruments offered by the European Union's development cooperation mechanism.
