Center for International Development (CID) at Korea Development Institute
The Center for International Development at KDI aims to brighten the futures of Korea's development partner countries in achieving their goals of economic development.
CID is at the forefront of efforts to achieve balanced development of the global community by sharing Korea's economic development experiences and knowledge with partner countries. The Center conducts research on development policies of Korea and other countries and provides customized policy consultations based on research results. Also, in order to facilitate the implementation of policy recommendations, CID offers various policy training opportunities to high-ranking government officials and experts from developing countries.

Conducts research for economic cooperation projects in collaboration with developing countries and other countries requesting support

Research Projects on Systemization of Korea's Development Experiences
The 2008-2009 research project on the systemization of Korea's development experiences includes such policy areas as export promotion, Saemaul Undong (New Community Movement) and development financing. Given the value of visual effects, the Korean experience in export promotion and Saemaul Undong have been reproduced as video materials (DVD and CD); these will be distributed to policymakers and government officials in development partner countries.
KDI-World Bank Joint Program on International Development Cooperation
Having signed an MOU on mutual cooperation with the World Bank in 2002, KDI and the World Bank initiated international development cooperation programs to share Korea's development experiences and lessons with partner countries, utilizing a trust fund established by the Korean government at the World Bank.
KDI-World Bank Joint Conference (KP2)
KDI and the World Bank held a joint conference on Sharing Knowledge for Development: In Search of Best Practice on November 4-5, 2009.
The World Bank Conference on Development Economics
The Annual Bank Conference on Development Economics (ABCDE), co-hosted by the World Bank and the Ministry of Strategy and Finance of Korea and organized by KDI, was held on June 22-24, 2009.
