Central Project Management Board, formerly known as Power Project Management Board, was established under Decision No. 842 / NL-TCCB of July 7, 1988 of the Minister of Energy on the basis of the Board. Managing Cau Do Thermal Power Plant directly under Power Company 3 (now Central Power Corporation); On March 13, 1990, Power Transmission Department No. 1 was established under Decision No. 98-NL / TCCB-LD of the Minister of Energy on the basis of the Management Board of electricity works under Power Company No. 3. Project management function is both operational management; On October 15, 1991, the Power Project Project Management Board was established under the Minister of Energy's Decision No. 532 / NL-TCCB on the basis of splitting from Power Transmission Department No. 1 under the Electricity Company. 3; On June 28, 1995, the Management Board of the Central Vietnam Power Project was established under Decision No. 440 / QD-ĐVN of Vietnam Electricity Corporation (since 2006, the Vietnam Electricity Corporation) on facility management board of electrical projects under Power Company 3; On June 30, 2008, the Central Management Board of electricity projects was established under the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT ) according to Decision No. 117 / QD-NPT.
