The CICM Madagascar is a research and training center on infectious diseases of major importance in public health and certain neglected tropical diseases. It is a public non-profit organization governed by a partnership agreement between the University of Antananarivo, the Malagasy Ministry of Health and Fondation Mérieux.

The ICMC pays particular attention to the development of diagnostic tools, the transfer of technology and the strengthening of the skills of young researchers. Built in 2009-2010 by Fondation Mérieux (Lyon, France) within the campus of the University of Antananarivo, the CICM was inaugurated on April 13, 2011 and contributes to the development of numerous research projects in Madagascar.
