Centre for Human Rights and Civic Education (CHRCE) is a non-political, non partisan and non profit making membership organisation. It began operating in 1996 and has been registered as an NGO in Kenya under the 1990 NGO Coordination Act since 2005.
Centre for Human Rights and Civic Education (CHRCE) is a fully-fledged NGO with clear organizational structures and operational policies including a constitution, Finance, and Administration manual, Board manual, Monitoring, and Evaluation policy, Gender policy, CHRCE Child Protection Policy and HIV, and AIDs and workplace policy that guide its governance operations. CHRCE's strategic direction and programming are currently guided by a Strategic Plan 2016-2020. As a learning Organization, CHRCE always undertakes an external audit for all its projects every year to ensure that its internal control systems are not compromised and that it is firmly in the path towards the realization of its goal and objectives.
