Centre for Mathematics, Science and Technology Education in Africa (CEMASTEA)

CEMASTEA is a public institution under the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MOEST). Its mandate is to build the capacity of mathematics and science teachers for effective classroom practices not only in Kenya but also in countries in Sub-Saharan Africa. This is achieved through Strengthening of Mathematics and Science Education (SMASE) In-service Education and Training (INSET) programmes.  CEMASTEA has organized a National Conference on Mathematics, Science and Technology Education. The conference will be hosted at CEMASTEA from 15th to 17th September 2015. The purpose of the conference is to bring together academicians, education practitioners and researchers to share their experiences and ideas on ways of promoting innovative pedagogy through teacher capacity building.
