About

The Interdisciplinary Centre for the Development of Ocean Mapping (CIDCO) is a marine geomatics R&D organization. Dedicated to the enhancement of state-of-the-art technology for marine geospatial data acquisition, management and graphic representation, the CIDCO is a not for profit organization answering the R&D needs of the industry and the community at large.

Mission: 

Facilitate the economical development of Quebec's maritime region by meeting the needs for innovation, transfer and consulting services in ocean mapping in the marine resources, sciences and technologies niche.»


Objectives: 

  • Increase the expertise in marine geomatics in the region;
  • Improve or develop new methods and technologies for ocean mapping;
  • Work with industry, government departments and institutions for the development and improvement of technological solutions for the maritime sector;
  • Be a building block for the development of marine information technology and services in the region.
