The CNRA, National Agricultural Research Center of Ivory Coast, was created in 1998 following the dissolution of several research organizations (IDEFOR, IDESSA, CIRT) to better coordinate agricultural research to obtain results meileurs . The CNRA brings together several sites spread throughout the Ivorian territory. Each site consists of a set of Research Stations administratively attached to a Regional Directorate DREG.
