The CDE MIPYME Región Occidente was born on August 2, 2013 through the union of efforts and interests between members of the Private Company of the region, the National Autonomous University of Honduras and the Ministry of Economic Development (formerly the Ministry of Industry and Commerce) and it stands as a public-private company. As of 2015, it is part of the National Network of CDE MIPYME, an instance coordinated by the Ministry of Economic Development (SDE), which is created in order to strengthen the structure of the centers and coordination with the SDE throughout the country.
The CDE MIPYME Región Occidente intervenes in the territory made up of the departments of Copán, Ocotepeque and Lempira, which are located approximately 500 kilometers from the country's capital, away from distribution centers and main commercial routes. Its main economy subsists in the monoculture of coffee, basic grains and transformation of raw materials, which represents an excellent opportunity for intervention in the strengthening and / or creation of business capacities in entrepreneurs, micro, small and medium-sized companies.
MISSION: They are a public-private organization of the social sector of the Economy, specialized in the development and growth of Micro and Small Enterprises in the Departments of Copán, Ocotepeque and Lempira. They work for companies to formalize, Increase their Income and generate jobs, through personalized Technical Assistance, Training, Alliances and Links with local, National and Cooperation organizations to together contribute to the economic development of the Region. They provide a specialized service through highly trained and sensitive personnel to incorporate gender equality and environmental responsibility into work. They strive to cover with greater equity the demand for business services at the social base
VISION: By 2024 they have developed the capacity to provide specialized and Quality Services, with systematized internal processes that contribute to technical and Financial sustainability.
