About

The Center for Public Integrity (CIP) was created in 2005 to contribute to the promotion of Transparency, Anti-corruption and Integrity in Mozambique. The CIP has association status and is governed by its bylaws and other applicable legislation. CIP is a non-profit, non-partisan, independent entity with administrative, financial and patrimonial autonomy. The organization was created by a motley group of Mozambicans interested in contributing to the deepening of democratic governance in the country. The group is made up of investigative journalists, academics, jurists and social scientists. In 2011, CIP was accredited or recognized as the Chapter of Transparency International in Mozambique.

The vision CIP is a country where public and private actors act with integrity and probity in the public sphere, contributing to democratic governance, transparent and in accordance with the law.

The mission CIP is to promote integrity in the public sphere in Mozambique, through the denunciation of corruption and irregularities in general and advocacy of public awareness and support of good practice in the common good management.

The guiding principles of IPC actions are fundamental principles: integrity , transparency , corruption prevention and good governance . By acting in this way, the CIP has as its general objective the promotion and defense of integrity , transparency, ethics , non-corruption and good governance in the public sphere in Mozambique.
