About

CATHALAC is an international organization founded in 1992 and headquartered in the Republic of Panama, whose mission is to promote sustainable development through education, applied research and technology transfer in the area of ​​watershed management, climate change, analysis and environmental modeling and risk management.

Throughout the 25 years of CATHALAC, the mission has been applied research for sustainable development that strengthens regional capacity and facilitates professional capacities for technology transfer and innovation in the countries of the Humid Tropics of Latin America and the Caribbean. To accomplish this mission, CATHALAC has carried out more than 50 regional projects throughout the Latin American and Caribbean region. Responding more than 75 extreme events to more than 16 countries in the region and more than 100 analysis / studies in the thematic areas of CATHALAC.
