CTIC is a technological infrastructure that promotes and catalyzes the valorization and technological innovation of the national tanning industry, aiming at the sector's competitiveness through:

• Technical and technological support to companies in the sector or related or complementary sectors;
• Conducting and promoting applied research and experimental development that can contribute to solving the problems of the sector and promote their transfer to directly or indirectly associated industrial enterprises;
• Promoting quality improvement by addressing the factors that condition it, such as enterprise quality management systems, standardization, metrology and certification;
• Support and promotion of specialized technical and technological training of company staff;
• Collection, processing and dissemination of technical and technological information;
• Carrying out development work leading to pollution reduction through preventive measures and or optimization of effluent treatment processes;
• Contribution to strengthening links between the University, research organizations and industry.
