The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Burkina Faso was created on June 11, 1948.

The Chamber of Agriculture and Industry with seat Bobo-Dioulasso, it became the Chamber of Commerce of Industry and Handicrafts in 1973 then Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Burkina Faso ( CCI-BF ) in 2007 with the creation of an autonomous Chamber of Trades of Crafts.

CCI-BF is a Public Institution with professional character, legal personality, financial autonomy, and management. It is under the technical supervision of the Ministry of Trade and Industry.
