Chambre des Mines de Guinée (Guinea Chamber of Mines)

The CMG was created on January 17, 1997. It is the second of its kind in West Africa - ACG Friguia after that of Ghana; from which they have been much inspired. Originally, it is a consular organization created by the six main mining companies in production: the Bauxite Company of Guinea (CBG), the ACG again Friguia, the Mining Company of Dinguiraye, the Ashanti Company of Guinea become Anglo gold Ashanti and SEMAFO. Other companies also at the origin of the CMG, such as Aredor or IMEX Guinea, are no longer active. The vision of the Guinea Chamber of Mines is to stimulate, in collaboration with other actors, the economic and social development of Guinea. It also acts as an interface and its mission is to: Promote the interests of all member societies of the House. As such, she is: A means of consultation and consultation between its members; An instrument of representation, because vis-a-vis the Authorities and the other Organisms constituted, it can receive mandate to speak on behalf of its Members; An institution playing a highly strategic role in that it collects and disseminates information. As a result, it participates in the promotion of the private sector in Guinea; An institution that supports the Government and all Guinean economic actors in the development process.
