About

Promoting awareness on liver health for more than 2 decades!

Chennai Liver Foundation (CLF) is a voluntary, non-profit organization that aims to promote awareness about liver health by supporting research and educational activities. It offers help, support, and information to the medical fraternity and the general public about the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of liver-related diseases.

Concerned about the increasing incidence of liver disease, Prof. R.P. Shanmugam founded Chennai Liver Foundation in 1997. Later Dr.Vivekanandan joined hands to make CLF the first organization in India to focus on providing support for research and education into the causes, diagnoses, prevention, and treatment of all liver diseases.

The foundation has come a long way since then and intends to help promote further research, provide education about liver wellness and work to find cures and better treatment for all kinds of liver ailments.

Today, their focus remains virtually unchanged from those early days. CLF is committed to spreading awareness and campaigning for organ donation. By encouraging individuals to participate and be alert about their own health care, CLF believes it can make lasting changes in the lives of people.
