About

At Cheshire Without Abuse they know that relationships are complicated and domestic abuse affects the whole family.

CWA have supported families affected by domestic abuse for 40 years and they specialise in supporting people through the challenges they face.

The team are trained to recognise the signs and symptoms of domestic abuse, assess the needs of family members and respond to practical issues such as housing, legal aid and financial difficulties.

CWA offers a weekly drop in advice clinic, a monthly legal clinic and a range of groups offering recovery and support as well as a counselling service and specialist children’s programmes.

CWA will listen to you on the phone and arrange a face to face interview to discuss the situation in more detail. CWA will work with you to identify anydifficulties you are experiencing. CWA will carry out an assessment which will help us to understand the risks you are facing. Based on this, they will develop an individualised plan tailored to the situation.

CWA also offers a one to one support service which provides aftercare to families who are re-housed within the local area, along with existing families that are referred to us by other agencies.CWA provides practical and emotional support enabling families to maintain their tenancies and lead an independent life.
