ABOUT

The Child Protection and Family Services Agency (CPFSA), formed out of a merger of the Child Development Agency and the Office of Children’s Registry, is a leader in Jamaica’s child protection system, with a combined legacy reputation for their work in promoting child-friendly policies and ground-breaking programmes to strengthen families.

The CPFSA is under the purview of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Information and works collaboratively with the OCA, the JCF, and other government agencies.

MISSION

Their mission is to proactively and responsively protect, as well as provide care beyond limits to their nation’s children through sensitive investigations and appropriate action, love, advocacy, education, rehabilitation and family support because they are committed to valuing their children, their families and their team members.

VISION

The Child Protection and Family Services Agency aims to be an extraordinary agency in providing an atmosphere within which protection and transformation of their children, support and strengthening of family life, and team members occurs, allowing them to reach their full potential in a safe and nurturing environment.
