CMCA’s interventions are based on an unequivocal focus towards its vision of a dynamic democratic society of empowered citizens asserting their rights and shouldering their social responsibilities. By engaging with students in schools and colleges, it helps students develop knowledge, values, skills and commitment for active citizenship. Students imbibe values of equality, justice, liberty, diversity, the basic principles of democracy and participate in investigating and identifying issues in their schools, colleges and communities and finding solutions by engaging with authorities. Nurturing these values and skills is the realm of citizenship education.
