About

China Banking Association (China Banking Association or the CBA) was founded in 2000 Nian months, and by the Chinese Ministry of Civil Affairs approved the establishment of the People's Bank and Ministry of Civil Affairs registered national non-profit social organizations, the Chinese banking industry self-regulatory organization. After the establishment of the China Banking Regulatory Commission in 2003 , the unit of the China Banking Association was changed from the People's Bank of China to the China Banking Regulatory Commission. Where the banking financial institutions including foreign-funded banking financial institutions with independent legal personality approved by the China Banking Regulatory Commission and those approved by the relevant regulatory authorities, have independent legal personality and are registered in the civil affairs departments autonomous regions and municipalities , Separate cities Banking Association can apply to join the China Banking Association to become a member unit. The Bank of China (hereinafter referred to as the "China Banking Association") may apply to join the China Banking Association to become an observer unit, with the approval of the relevant regulatory authorities, the non-legal foreign bank branch and the representative office in China.

As of April 2017, the China Banking Association had 620 member units, 35 observer units and 31 professional committees. The member units include policy banks, state-owned commercial banks, joint-stock commercial banks, city commercial banks, asset management companies, central treasury bonds and settlement limited liability companies, China Postal Savings Banks, rural commercial banks, rural cooperative banks, rural credit cooperatives, Foreign banks, village banks, provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities, municipalities) banking associations, financial leasing companies, currency brokers, auto finance companies. The observer units are China UnionPay Co., Ltd., Nongxin Bank Capital Clearing Center, Shandong City Commercial Bank Cooperative Alliance Co., Ltd., City Commercial Bank Clearing Center, Taiwan-funded Bank Branch / Representative Office.

China Banking Association aims to promote the common interests of member units for the purpose of fulfilling self-discipline, rights, coordination, service functions, safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of the banking industry, maintaining the banking market order, improve the quality of banking practitioners, improve the level of membership services, Promote the healthy development of the banking industry.
