About 

China International Economic Consultants Co., Ltd. (CIEC), a wholly-owned subsidiary of CITIC Group, was initiated by the former Vice President of PRC Mr. Rong Yiren along with Mr. Jing Shuping and other entrepreneurs of the older generation.

Established in 1981 as the first professional consulting firm in China since China's opening to the outside world, CIEC has been consistently pursuing specialization and internationalization, while maintaining a leading position nationwide in the field of consultancy concerning finance, investment, management, strategy, project and business as well as project supervision and management.

At present, CIEC has more than 200 consultants, 70% with master or higher degrees. Most of them graduated from well-established schools both at home and abroad with a diversity of specialties, such as finance, economics, business administration, and information or engineering technology. Their excellent educational background and years of working experience have enabled them to acquire a good mastery of advanced analytical methods and broad knowledge of domestic and foreign market specifics, which greatly benefit our clients.
