Over the past 50 over years, CWE has conducted infrastructure projects in more than 60 countries and regions round the globe on more than 700 project sites.
CWE has been practicing water resources and hydropower engineering for 55 years. It is one of the first state-owned corporations approved by China State Council to undertake international contracting projects since 1980s. CWE was officially established in August, 1983, under the approval of the original Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation, charged with the mission of economic aid, import and export of equipment, international project contracting, and labor service export.
As an important vehicle to implement the “Going Global” strategy for CTGC, CWE will focus on the design, contracting and consultancy of international hydropower projects, as well as the development and investment of international resources and technology. CWE’s development goal is to build itself into a large advanced international clean energy enterprise with integration of investment, building, operation and management through unremitting efforts.
