China Railway Group Limited (China Railway) is originated from the Engineering Bureau and Design Bureau of the Ministry of Railways established in March 1950, both of which later had been integrated into the General Bureaus of Capital Construction in 1958, and then evolved into China Railway Engineering Corp. (CREC) on July 1, 1989.
