China Power International Holding Ltd is a core subsidiary which is fully owned by State Power Investment Corporation (SPIC), one of the top Five State-owned Power Corporations in China. CPIH mainly engages in the development and operation of power projects, including coal-fired, hydro, natural gas, and various of renewable energies such as thermal, hydro, LNG, wind, solar, biomass, waste-to-energy, cogeneration, mine-mouth coal project (with integrated production of coal and power) and so on. CPIH has two listed companies in Hong Kong: China Power International Development Ltd (China Power, Stock code 2380 HK) and China Power New Energy Development Company Ltd (China Power New Energy, Stock code 0735 HK). By end of 2016, the total installed capacity of CPIH is 28.11GW, in addition, 20GW projects are under development. The total asset of CPIH is about 18.45 Billion USD and the total employee of CPIH are 18,000. CPIH has its domestic assets distributed across 23 provinces, cities and autonomous regions in mainland China, Hong Kong and Macao, and oversea assets in Vietnam and Pakistan.
