About

The Climate Change Cook Islands division is located within the OFfice of the Prime Minister, Government of the Cook Island. Its functions are: 

  • Strengthening governance arrangements for climate change
  • Credibly brand standards compliant users without extensible services
  • Resource mobilization
  • Mainstreaming and integrating climate change-related activities into government procedures

Vision

Ensuring that the sustainable development of the Cook Islands is actively pursued through a climate and disaster-resilient approach that has the capacity to manage climate and disaster risks and reduce our emissions in the context of sustainable development.

Mission

Provide an integrated and coherent policy and planning framework that directs country-led and coordinated adaptation and mitigation actions and resources towards climate and disaster-compatible development outcomes.

Goal

National Development Goal 13 “Strengthen resilience to combat the impacts of climate change and natural disasters”
