CODESPA Foundation is a non-profit organization, which has worked for 25 years in international development cooperation. At CODESPA we believe in the human capacity to build a more equal and fair world, and provide opportunities for people so that they can, through their own work, develop their abilities and take charge of their own development.
In these 25 years, we have managed 730 projects in 33 countries in Latin America, the Middle East, Africa and Asia; and, we have contributed to giving millions of people a chance in the fight against poverty. Our Honorary President is H.R.H. the Prince of Asturias.
At CODESPA they are involved in improving the quality of life of those people who have fewest resources, through programs and projects that promote economic and social development.
They understand that work is a transforming and revitalizing factor of society and that its promotion is an irreplaceable development opportunity. In this way, they support the creation of inclusive economies, achieving a real impact with each action, without creating dependency.
Their projects are meticulously planned, managed and assessed. They form alliances and synergies between different public and private agents; this enables them to achieve a multiplying effect that guarantees the social impact and the sustainability of their projects.
They are specialized in the execution of Social Development and Investment Projects, giving opportunities for socioeconomic development for the most underprivileged people and communities.
Their lines of work are:
- Community managed tourism
- Professional training and integration
- Microfinance for development
- Rural farming development
- Creation of micro-enterprise structure
- Migration and development
Through Projects of Corporate Social Responsibility for Development and Social Innovation, they design actions linked to the company’s strategy in order to maximize the impact of the social action and business strategy on the fight against poverty.
They design and coordinate Research, Training and Awareness Projects: we promote knowledge management within the sector: publications, conferences and workshops. They train and raise awareness within the Spanish population: events and materials that promote the eradication of poverty.
